Below you will find some answers to Frequently asked questions, so be sure to check them out. and please finish reading this it will also answer some questions.

  • We do not accept trade-ins, such as your old bus bars and used battery banks

  • If you order the wrong Bus Bars, we will take them back ONLY if you return them in original condition and packaging (not used and shipped back) We will however charge a 15% restocking fee, so please know what you are buying before purchasing. if you're not sure, please ask!

  • Every voltage knob is built and tested in-house. Please read the diagram (included) thoroughly before reaching out and stating "It will not work" Do some research to figure out if our knobs will work on your specific alternator. Reach out to your alternator manufacturer, (as we do not build alternators here). If you're able to use a diode to increase the voltage then you can use our Voltage knobs.

  • Most common mistake with our knobs: The ONLY thing the sense wire connects to is the (Red Wire) coming out of the voltage control knob. The sense wire no longer wraps around to the positive post on the sense wire. Pin 30 of a relay goes to the positive post on the alternator now.

  • We can only guarantee that the voltage knob will work with up to 4 alternators at the same time with this style regulator. The Denso type GM with a 14.8v or 15.3v set point as shown here in Illustration

  • Can I run CMAX with a Capacitor Bank?
Yes, because the operating voltage range of capacitor banks can be closely the same as CMAX requires.
  • What is the max charging for CMAX battery bank?
We recommend charging to at least 15 volts and no more than 16.2 volts. Max charging for Daily Use - 16.5V Absolute Max - 16.8V
  • What is the footprint size and weight of your batteries? Cmax and LTO
    Hey there, we know how important it is when building a new system that you know the footprint of your Lithium battery so you can plan your build accordingly. below is some footprint dimensions of popular battery sizes. We hope this helps! (in inches) These are Dimensions for 5ah CMAX/Insight Banks. and Below that for the LTO Banks 30AH – 24W x 5.75H x 6.25D Weight 24lbs – shipping method UPS 45AH – 24W x 5.75H x 8.125D Weight 55lbs – shipping method UPS 70AH – 24W x 5.75H x 11D Weight 66lbs – shipping method Freight 90AH – 24W x 5.75H x 13.25D Weight 84lbs – shipping method Freight 95AH – 24W x 5.75H x 13.875D Weight 86lbs – shipping method Freight 135AH – 24W x 5.75H x 18.5D Weight 110lbs – shipping method Freight 180AH – 24W x 5.75H x 23.937D Weight 134lbs – shipping method Freight 190AH – 24W x 5.75H x 25.125D Weight 138lbs – shipping method Freight 225AH – 24W x 5.75H x 29.687D Weight 152lbs – shipping method Freight 300AH – 24W x 5.75H x 38.187D Weight 215lbs – shipping method Freight Dimensions for a Cmax 24AH 504AH - 28"W x 6" High x 26.5 Deep LTO - Battery Bank Footprint Sizes and Weights- 29ah 9.5" Wide 12.75" Long 5.625" Height 32 lbs - 43lbs packed for shipping UPS 43.5ah 18.9375" Wide 11.75" Long 5.625" Height Weight - 47lbs - 53lbs packed for shipping UPS 87ah 18.937" Wide 20.00" Long 5.625" Height 90lbs - 122lbs packed for freight carrier 130.5 ah 18.9375" Wide 28.375" Long 5.625" Height Weight - 134lbs - 176lbs packed for freight carrier 174ah 18.9375" Wide 38.00" Long 5.625" Height Weight - 178lbs - 230lbs packed for freight carrier
  • Do I need to do a Battery delete with a C-MAX bank?
Yes, because if you were to run it with an lead acid or AGM battery the lead/AGM battery tends to rest a lot lower when the vehicle is off which in turn would draw your C-MAX bank down and essentially kill the bank.
  • Can I run CMAX with AGM or Lead Acid?
NO! these two batteries do not mix well. for safety reasons do not.
  • Battery Charging Rates For Wattage Output (for LTO Battery Banks)
43.5AH LTO Bank Charging at 14.8v with 250a ALT = 23,000 watts rms Charging at 14.8v with 500a ALT = 26,000 watts rms Charging at 15.7v with 250a ALT = 25,000 watts rms Charging at 15.7v with 500a ALT = 28,000 watts rms 87AH LTO Bank Charging at 14.8v with 250a ALT = 46,000 watts rms Charging at 14.8v with 500a ALT = 52,000 watts rms Charging at 15.7v with 250a ALT = 50,000 watts rms Charging at 15.7v with 500a ALT = 56,000 watts rms 130.5AH LTO Bank Charging at 14.8v with 250a ALT = 69,000 watts rms Charging at 14.8v with 500a ALT = 78,000 watts rms Charging at 15.7v with 250a ALT = 75,000 watts rms Charging at 15.7v with 500a ALT = 84,000 watts rms 174AH LTO Bank Charging at 14.8v with 250a ALT = 94,000 watts rms Charging at 14.8v with 500a ALT = 104,000 watts rms Charging at 15.7v with 250a ALT = 100,000 watts rms Charging at 15.7v with 500a ALT = 112,000 watts rms
  • What is Max charging and discharging rates for LTO Battery Banks
2.9 LTO Cells are around 50-55c Continuous - 75-100c Minimum Charging 15V Maximum Daily Use 16.5V Absolute Max - 16.8V
  • How many days will it take for shipping.
Typically it takes 3 to 5 days either by UPS or freight depending on where in the US you are located. Here is a illustration from UPS on there shipping times.
  • Important information on Using your LTO battery
Please Read Before Use! Due to Hazmat Shipping regulations, we are only allowed to send lithium batteries at 30% State of Charge, so you are responsible for charging your batteries before installation. You will want to charge the battery up to your alternator’s voltage set point. (If you do not know what regulator is in your alternator, please contact your alternator manufacturer) We recommend a DC Power Supply Adjustable (30V 10A), Eventek Variable Switching Regulated Digital Power Supply with Alligator Leads US Power Cord (30V 10A) which can be found on Amazon for around $60.00. To buy click this link. Your alternator MUST have a voltage setpoint of at least 14.8v MINIMUM, and up to 16.2v MAXIMUM. These L.T.O. batteries do perform best at 15.7v and up to 16.2v We do recommend you mount the batteries FLAT on the ground as they are NOT designed to be mounted vertically. If you do, however, mount it vertically we are NOT liable for any damage that may occur.
